Range: Fragmented in southeast Mexico and Guatemala.

Subspecies: None

Habitat: Cloud forest.

Status in Wild: Listed as a CITES Appendix I Endangered Species, habitat loss is the main threat the survival.

Status in Aviculture: The species is known in North America in zoos, but doubtful in private aviculture.
