Subspecies/Range: B. f. fytchii - South-central China, central Burma, Laos and northern Vietnam; B. f. hopkinsonii - Northeastern India, Bangladesh east to northern Burma.

Habitat: Varied - grasslands, scrublands and forests.

Status in Wild: Stable.

Avicultural Data

Status in Aviculture: Uncommon to rare.
