Other Names: Chestnut-bellied (Partridge) Hill-Partridge, Javan Partridge, Bare-throated Tree-Partridge, Chestnut-bellied Tree-Partridge

Range: Western and central Java.

Subspecies: A. j. javanica - Western Java; A. j. bartelsi - West-central Java; A. j. lawuana - East-central Java.

Habitat: Montane forests.

Status in Wild: Not well known, leasted as Least Concern by BirdLife, but more data is needed.

Avicultural Data

Status in Aviculture: According to ISIS, 5 zoos report keeping this species in North America; only Arborophila species reported by ISIS to be in North America. Status in private aviaries is undetermined at this time.
