HOAGBA Events
The HOAGBA sponsors a Spring & Fall auction in Gardner KS at the Johnson County Fairgrounds and monthly swaps throughout the Summer at the fairgrounds in Overbrook, KS. Membership meetings are held the Friday night prior to the auctions in Gardner. In September, a membership dinner is provided by Myrna Tuley of Lee's Summit, MO and Pat Routh of Havensville, Kansas at the meeting.
Please check back again for complete details of the HOAGBA sponsored events. For events held elsewhere, consult your latest Heartland News available to HOAGBA members. Each month contains a large listing of events held throughout the midwest.
HOAGBA has cooperated and worked with Kansas Wildife and Parks and the Kansas Animal Health Department to promote the well-being of birds and animals kept in captivity. It strives to provide information to its members and the general public about maintaining birds and animals for enjoyment, species preservation and profit.
Out-of-state (Kansas) sellers & consignors will be required to have an import permit from the Kansas Dept of Agriculture. To obtain the permit, which is good for one year, contact Theresa Stevens at 785-296-2326.
